– You’ve been with Shamakhi for a month now. How is the adaptation process going? How much more time do you need to fully fit in with the team?
– Since the day I arrived here, I’ve had no difficulties. Although I don’t speak the language most players and coaches use, everyone helps me both on and off the field with whatever I need.
– Did you have any doubts when deciding to join Shamakhi? What played a decisive role in your decision?
– There’s always a bit of hesitation when making such decisions. After all, it meant leaving my country and going somewhere far away. But after researching the club and the infrastructure provided to players, I didn’t need to think much. I just wanted to be here and play for the club’s success.
– The Azerbaijan championship is about to start in a few days. Is Shamakhi fully ready for the new season?
– We’ve been working very intensively for a long time. During the preparation period, we played friendly matches with other teams in the league, and now we are finalizing the last details for the championship debut.
– You will be guests of Neftchi in the first round. How much do you know about your opponent? What result do you expect from this game?
– I can’t say anything specific about the result because football is a very unpredictable sport. But we will be fully ready to show a good game. I can say that we will do our best to win.
– Shamakhi’s current squad is a mix of foreign players and young local footballers. Will you have any difficulty understanding each other?
– We live together every day and face every difficulty together. So, I don’t think there will be any problems.
– A significant number of Brazilian players compete in the Azerbaijan championship. Which of them do you know?
– Yes, this proves the league is very high quality. I’m very happy to be another Brazilian playing in the Azerbaijan Premier League and to wear Shamakhi’s jersey.
