The details behind Alen Halilovic’s failed transfer to Qarabag, where he currently plays for the Dutch club Fortuna, have been revealed.
Idman.biz, citing Sport24.az, reports that the parties disagreed more on the contract duration than on the salary.
The initial stages of the negotiations went well, and they were close to agreeing on the salary when the Azerbaijani champion wanted to sign the 29-year-old attacking player to a long-term contract.
However, Halilovic did not agree to this.
As a result, Qarabag decided to stop negotiations and cut ties with the player.
The "Qarabag" transferred Joni Montiel to this position earlier in August.
