The chances are equal in the UEFA Conference League third qualifying round match between “Araz-Nakhchivan” and “Omonia” (Cyprus).
Idman.biz reports that this was stated by the former head coach of the Nakhchivan team, Azar Bagirov, in an interview with Report news agency.
He emphasized the importance of the team believing in itself: “Araz-Nakhchivan got off to a good start. But I think Igor Ribeiro’s absence in the first game equalizes the chances. Araz-Nakhchivan plays well at home; they just need to believe in themselves. There must be confidence in victory. The matches against Aris showed that for Araz-Nakhchivan, it doesn’t matter whether they play at home or away. I wish the team success and believe it will be a good fight.”
Bagirov said that the Cypriot club has quality players: “I remember Omonia’s performance last year. I haven’t watched any of their matches this year. I know they have quality players, good foreigners. They play athletic football, they are technically a good team. Overall, they are one of the best teams opposing our clubs in this year’s UEFA Conference League.”
