Vusal Isgandarli returns to Albania with Partizani move

Vusal Isgandarli, who has returned to the Albanian championship, has now joined the club “Partizani.”

The experienced midfielder spoke to Futbolinfo.az about his transfer and future plans, Idman.biz reports.

He stated that the club management offered him a longer-term contract: “Thanks to them, they considered my wishes, and we signed a one-year deal with an option to extend by mutual agreement. Albania has been a successful league for me, so returning here gives me positive feelings.”

The 29-year-old player previously played for “Boluspor.” He emphasized that his relationship with the Turkish club ended on good terms: “My contract with Boluspor was for a year and a half. That period ended, and I decided not to extend it. We parted ways on a very good note. Actually, I received an offer from Partizani in the winter, but at the time, it was deemed more appropriate for me to stay with Boluspor. In the summer, I also had offers from other countries, and three clubs from Albania showed interest. In the end, Partizani turned out to be the best option for me.”

Speaking about the adaptation process to his new club, Isgandarli said everything is going well: “I’ve never had adaptation problems at any club I joined. Hopefully, everything will be fine here too. I have a very good relationship with my teammates and the coaching staff. Some of them were even my opponents when I played for Egnatia. Physically, I was a bit behind because I joined the team late. But thank God, everything is fine now. Pre-season preparation went well. Most importantly, I completed the heavy training sessions without injury. We will see the benefits of this load in the upcoming matches.”

The midfielder also shared his thoughts about a return to the national team and expressed determination in this regard: “Our head coach Fernando Santos always watches players who are consistently active and sends call-ups. I will do my best to earn a national team invitation. Time will tell, but my goal is still to play abroad. For now, my main target is to win the league title with my team.”
