“I don’t expect Levski to have any problems in the matches against Sabah.”
Idman.biz, citing AZERTAC, reports that these words were said by Georgi Nikolov, the former president of Azerbaijan’s Inter club (now Shamakhi), while speaking about the first leg of the UEFA Conference League third qualifying round between Bulgaria’s Levski and Azerbaijan’s Sabah.
The Bulgarian official noted that the Baku club has dangerous players in its squad: “I would mention the names of Joy-Lance Mickels, Pavol Safranko, and Jesse Sekidika. They are considered key players of the team. Levski’s players must pay attention to them. We’ve known Sabah’s head coach Valdas Dambrauskas since his time at Ludogorets and are familiar with his style of play. The Azerbaijani club is relatively new, while Levski has over a century of history. That also carries some weight. Everything is in order with the Bulgarian club at the moment. Home field advantage and fan support are factors that work in Levski’s favor.”
The “Levski” vs. “Sabah” match will kick off today at 22:00 Baku time at the Georgi Asparuhov Stadium in Sofia.
