Played several friendly matches, signed a contract with the club, and was called up by the military commissariat.
According to Idman.biz, citing the Ukrainian press, this happened to Podillya defender Yevgen Korokhov.
The 27-year-old Ukrainian footballer was recently called up to the Ukrainian army, which is at war with Russia, by the Military Commissariat and the Mobilization Department.
At that time, Podillya was holding a training camp in preparation for the new season in the First League. Korokhov took part in several friendly matches and even signed a contract with the team until the end of the season. However, he was unable to make his official debut for Podillya. His name was not included in the squad list for the first-round match against UCSA.
Korokhov is a product of Zaporizhya’s Metallurg football school. At the youth level, he also played for Shakhtar Donetsk and Zorya Lugansk.
In the 2020/21 season, Korokhov already played for Podillya and helped the team earn promotion from the Second League. He also played for Obolon Kyiv. His most recent club before returning to Podillya was Viktoriya.
Previously, it was reported that another defender, Roman Gagun from the club Kudrivka, had also been called up to the army.
