Neftchi set to part ways with Ryonosuke Ohori

Neftchi has made a proposal to Ryonosuke Ohori, whose services will not be used in the new season.

Idman.biz, citing Sportinfo.az, reports that the club has suggested that he be loaned to Shamakhi.

The Baku-based team is even willing to cover part of the Japanese midfielder's salary for the transfer to go through.

Ohori will not be included in Neftchi’s squad list for the season, meaning the mentioned foreigner will not appear in matches for the Premier League or the national cup.

Head coach Samir Abasov has decided not to use him. Having recently brought in several foreign players, the coach has now ruled out the Japanese midfielder.

Abasov made this decision while in Poland. The training camp held there convinced him that Ohori would not be part of his plans for the new season.

Based on the preparation process, the coach has definitively decided not to give the Asian player a chance. Ohori has already been informed of this.

The Japanese player has been instructed to find a new club. The final decision is up to him, he can leave either permanently or on a temporary basis.

The Neftchi signed the Asian player in January this year. The 24-year-old last played for “Transinvest” (Lithuania), appearing in 31 league matches since February 2024 and scoring 6 goals.

Neftchi signed a conditional 5-month + 2-year contract with the player, who wears the number 18 shirt.

Throughout his career, Ryonosuke Ohori has played 60 official matches, scored 24 goals, and made 4 assists. At Neftchi, he featured in 11 games and made 1 assist.

The Baku club has parted ways with 14 players this summer.

Egor Bogomolskiy, Azar Aliyev, Azar Salahly, Yuri Matias, Rahman Hajiyev, Hojjat Hagverdi, Rustam Samigullin, Robert Bauer, Raphael Guzzo, Dembo Darboe, Erwin Koffi, Filip Ozobic, Ismayil Zulfugarly, and Alpha Conteh are all on the "blacklist."
