“The team has not fully formed yet. Friendly matches are meant to identify shortcomings.”
These words were said by "Kapaz" player Shakir Seyidov in an interview with Sport24.az, Idman.biz reports.
Referring to the match against "Shamakhi", Seyidov also spoke about the condition of his team: “The result in friendly matches is not that important. But we suffered a heavy defeat against 'Shamakhi'. There is still time before the start of the championship. I hope everything will fall into place. I’m happy to have returned to my former team. We’ll also have new transfers. The squad is mostly made up of young players. Hopefully, everything will be sorted out by the time the season starts. We are working hard in training. We're preparing for the next season in good shape.”
“I can’t answer the question of which positions need strengthening. Our head coach and assistants can give a more complete answer on that,” the player added.
Seyidov signed a contract with the Ganja-based club during the off-season.
