Qarabag’s midfielder Abdellah Zoubir has played his 100th match in European competitions.
The 33-year-old French midfielder reached this milestone during the second leg of the Champions League second qualifying round against Ireland’s Shelbourne (1:0), Idman.biz reports.
Zoubir made his European debut in 2018 and has only represented Qarabag in continental tournaments.
He has played 34 matches in the Champions League, 50 in the Europa League, and 16 in the Conference League. With 14 goals in these appearances, he is the top scorer among Azerbaijani clubs in European competitions.
Zoubir is the first foreign player to reach 100 European appearances for Azerbaijani teams. Before him, only three players achieved this feat: Maksim Medvedev, Gara Garayev, and Rashad Sadygov.
