Former England national team striker and renowned TV presenter Gary Lineker has named the greatest football player in history.
He described Argentine forward Lionel Messi as the best footballer of all time, Idman.biz reports.
Lineker stated that Messi is his all-time favorite player: "In my opinion, he is the greatest player in history. If you truly consider the greats – Cruyff, Zidane, Ronaldo, and imagine that there's a level even above them, that's exactly what Messi is! It's truly amazing."
Messi holds the record for the most Ballon d'Or awards, having won the prize eight times.
