The experienced midfielder shared his thoughts on the Champions League second qualifying round return match in Baku, where they defeated Irish team Shelbourne 1-0: “The opponent was defending deep and taking a waiting position. After the score opened, they started to play a bit more openly. Our main goal was to win and secure a place in the next round. We managed to do that. Now it’s time to focus on the upcoming matches.”
Zoubir also spoke about the upcoming matches in the third qualifying round: “We have our own goals. We will prepare well for those games. We will do our best in this round.”
Qarabag will face North Macedonia’s Shkendija in the third qualifying round.
