These words were said by former Croatian national team player Jurica Vranjes in an interview with AZERTAC while discussing the second leg of the UEFA Conference League second qualifying round match between Hajduk and Zira, Idman.biz reports.
He stated that the fan support will help the Croatian club: "The stands will be full in the return match, and the fan support means extra motivation for Hajduk. This can play an important role in the team’s progression. New head coach Gonzalo Garcia has built a disciplined squad. If they can overcome Zira, it will be a new chapter for the club. Because the Split representative has not had successful performances in Europe for 18 years."
The first match held in Baku ended in a 1:1 draw. The return match will take place on July 31 and will start at 23:00 Baku time.
