AFFA has not planned to hold any of the Azerbaijan national team’s home matches in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers at Ganja City Stadium.
According to Idman.biz, based on information obtained by Report news agency, although there were earlier widespread reports suggesting that the home match against France in Group D would be played in Ganja, these claims were completely unfounded.
None of the national team’s three home matches were discussed to be hosted at the Ganja City Stadium, which is still under construction.
However, it is not ruled out that in the future, Azerbaijan’s youth national teams may hold training camps in Ganja.
Azerbaijan will host Iceland on November 13 at Neftchi Arena, and will play against Ukraine and France on September 9 and November 16, respectively, at the Tofiq Bahramov Republican Stadium.
