The activity of the reserve pitches at the Baku Olympic Stadium (BOS) will resume in early August.
This was reported to Teleqraf by BOS press secretary Farid Asadzade, Idman.biz reports.
He stated that the main pitch will be prepared for matches after the event scheduled for May 2026.
It was previously announced that the 2026 World Cup Group D qualifier between the national teams of Azerbaijan and France will not be held at BOS but at the Tofiq Bahramov Republican Stadium instead.
BOS hosted the COP-29 event from November 11 to 22, 2024. In 2026, the 13th Session of the United Nations World Urban Forum will also be held at this stadium.
