– You defeated “Kapaz” 6-1 in your latest friendly match as part of your pre-season preparations. What can you say about the match? Did you expect such a comfortable win?
– This was a preparation match. As you know, the result in friendly matches isn’t very important. The most crucial thing at this stage is that the team maintains its rhythm and raises the level of competitiveness.
– There are less than 20 days left until the start of the league. At this point, how prepared is your team for the new season? Do you think you’ll be fully ready by the start?
– It’s still too early to set targets. Just like last season, we’ll go from training to training, game to game. We’ll work at our maximum level to achieve the best results.
– There have been many changes in Shamakhi’s squad this summer. What do you think of the new signings? How will this number of changes affect the team’s performance?
– Everyone who has joined the team came with the mentality to help. We all want to contribute to achieving the club’s goals.
– Of the players who left Shamakhi, whose departure affected you the most?
– That’s football – players move from one club to another. But no player is more important than the club. The most important thing is always the club.
– The new season will be held with the participation of 12 teams. What are Shamakhi’s goals? How far can your team go in terms of league position?
– It’s true that the league has become more competitive. Our aim is to help the club as much as possible, to approach every training and match professionally, and to behave as professionals every day.
– You’re considered one of the best goalkeepers currently playing in the Azerbaijan Premier League. Which goalkeeper in the league do you personally admire?
– I admire all the goalkeepers playing in Azerbaijan. The quality in this position is high across the league. I think every team has a strong and reliable goalkeeper.
