Liverpool players wore special jerseys to honor striker Diogo Jota, who died in a car accident. In the 20th minute of the game, fans from both teams applauded in memory of him. The Portuguese player wore the number 20 jersey at Liverpool.
Jota passed away on July 3 in Spain along with his brother Andre Silva.
Jota had been playing for Liverpool since 2020.
