Neftchi signs Bosnian goalkeeper Kenan Piric

"Neftchi" has strengthened its squad with another player.

Idman.biz, citing Sportinfo.az, reports that the "Neftchi" have reached an agreement with a goalkeeper they had been in talks with for a long time.

That player is Kenan Piric, the goalkeeper of the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team, who played for Turkish Super Lig club Antalyaspor last season.

According to information provided by our Turkish colleague, several clubs from Turkiye were also interested in Kenan.
However, he reportedly stated that Neftchi's offer was more favorable and the club's ambitions were higher, which led to his decision to move to Azerbaijan.

Piric is expected to join the team, currently in training camp in Poland, either today or by tomorrow at the latest.

During the summer transfer window, Neftchi has already reinforced the team with Sessi D’Almeida (last club: Apollon Limassol), Luis Ortiz (on loan from Sportivo Ameliano), Elvin Badalov (last club: Sumgayit), Murad Khachayev (last club: Sumgayit), Igor Ribeiro (Araz-Nakhchivan), Imad Faraj (last club: AEK Larnaca), Freddy Vargas (on loan from Maccabi Netanya, Israel), Jordan Rezabala (last club: Dorados), and Cristian Costin (last club: Dinamo Bucharest, Romania).
