With less than a month remaining until the start of the Azerbaijan Premier League, it is still unclear where “Imishli” will host its home games.
Idman.biz, citing Sport24.az, reports that the regional team is considering either “ASCO Arena” in Baku or the Guba Olympic Complex.
Sources indicate that while “Imishli” management showed interest in the stadium in Quba, the conditions set by the other side did not satisfy the club. Officials at the Guba Olympic Complex reportedly demanded 2,000 AZN per match from the top-tier club. The Imishli side considered the amount too high and decided to drop the Guba option.
The new season of the Azerbaijan Premier League will kick off on August 15.
