Arsenal have completed the signing of England winger Noni Madueke from Chelsea for an initial fee of £48.5m, potentially rising to over £50m with add-ons.
Idman.biz, citing BBC, reports that the 23-year-old left Chelsea's Club World Cup camp in the U.S. to finalise his move and has signed a five-year deal at the Emirates.
Madueke, who scored 20 goals in 92 appearances for Chelsea, wrote on Instagram: “Humbled and blessed to be here... I can’t wait to get on the pitch.”
Mikel Arteta praised him as “one of the most talented wide forwards in the Premier League,” citing his experience and quality.
Despite a fan petition opposing the transfer, Madueke becomes Arsenal's fourth signing of the summer, following goalkeeper Kepa, midfielders Norgaard and Zubimendi. Deals for striker Viktor Gyokeres and defender Cristhian Mosquera are also close.
Madueke made his England debut in August 2024 and recently assisted Harry Kane’s winner in a World Cup qualifier against Andorra.
