"We’ll do our best to ensure the club’s permanent presence in the Premier League."
This was stated by Azar Hashimov, the newly appointed head coach of Karvan, in an interview with Report news agency, Idman.biz reports.
Speaking about his appointment to the Yevlakh-based club, he outlined the team's objectives: "God willing, I believe everything will turn out well. The main focus is on recruitment; the players need to be of high quality so that the team can perform well in the Premier League. Our transfer work is ongoing. The arrival of both foreign and local players will continue. But I can’t name anyone specifically yet, as we have to wait for official announcements to maintain professionalism."
Hashimov stated that he was invited to the role by the club’s former head coach and current vice-president Kanan Karimov: "I’m grateful to him for entrusting me with this important position. Trusting young specialists is a very good sign. In recent years, we’ve seen positive examples of this in Azerbaijani football. I will try to apply everything I’ve learned in my coaching career to do my best. This is a long marathon. God willing, with the support of our fans behind us, we will move forward on this difficult path. After many years, the team has qualified for the Premier League. We have no right to send the team back to the lower division. Football is loved in Yevlakh. Karvan is a team that made history by advancing past a round in the UEFA Cup, a first in Azerbaijani football."
