"I think this is a good transfer because he's a good footballer and a good person."
According to Idman.biz, former Neftchi goalkeeper Ivan Brkic shared these thoughts in an interview with Sport24.az.
Currently playing for Polish side Motor, the Croatian shot-stopper was teammates with Azerbaijan international forward Renat Dadashov during their time in Baku.
The 29-year-old recalled knowing Dadashov previously: “We met in Baku. He was good friends with Eddy Israfilov from the national team, and we met once. But Eddy spoke very highly of him. I believe this is a solid signing and he’ll definitely help us. He played for Radomiak last season, and our coaching staff already knows him well, they’ve scouted him, liked what they saw, and that’s why they brought him here.”
Ivan Brkic joined Motor after leaving Neftchi, while Renat Dadashov signed with the Polish club yesterday.
