The situation at Shahdag Gusar, which will compete in the First League next season, is far from ideal.
Idman.biz, citing Sport24.az, reports that the Gusar-based club is currently facing financial difficulties.
Due to a lack of funding from their sponsor, the club has yet to approve a budget for the upcoming season. As a result, the team, coached by Elnur Abdullayev, has been largely inactive in the transfer market. Reportedly, the club’s backers are holding talks with various companies and businessmen in hopes of attracting new investors. However, no progress has been made in that direction so far.
Shahdag Gusar won the Second League last season and earned the right to compete in the First League this year.
