Torpedo Moscow banned from Russian Premier League

Moscow's Torpedo has been excluded from the Russian Premier League for the 2025/26 season.

Idman.biz reports that Torpedo Moscow have also been fined 5 million rubles (approximately $64,113).

Additionally, Torpedo's owner Leonid Sobolev has been banned from football for 5 years, while the club’s CEO Valeriy Skorodumov received a 10-year ban.

The management is accused of attempting to bribe referees to fix match results in the First League.

With just eight days remaining before the start of the new Russian Premier League season, the 16th participant in the championship is still unknown.
