One of the foreign players departing Neftchi during the off-season is Gambian forward Dembo Darboe.
Idman.biz, citing Sport24.az, reports that Darboe did not leave the Baku-based club without compensation.
Since the striker still had an active contract, he demanded a severance package. After extended negotiations, the two parties reached an agreement for Darboe to receive three months’ salary as compensation.
Darboe’s monthly wage at Neftchi was $45,000.
