Former football star Mesut Ozil has revealed plans to open a football academy in Turkiye.
The German international of Turkish descent shared the news during a conversation with journalists, Idman.biz reports.
Ozil stated that he aims to establish the academy in Umraniye in the near future, emphasizing his goal of supporting young talent and helping them shine on Europe’s biggest stages.
During his illustrious playing career, Ozil wore the jerseys of top clubs including Schalke, Real Madrid, Arsenal, Fenerbahce, and Basaksehir.
