Araz-Nakhchivan continues to strengthen its squad ahead of the new season with the signing of former Germany U18 international Chance Simakala Ba-Muaka.
The 28-year-old forward has signed a one-year contract with the Azerbaijani club and has already arrived in Baku. Known for his versatility, Simakala can also play as a winger on both flanks, Idman.biz reports.
The German-born attacker has played for several clubs over the years, including Borussia Monchengladbach, Elversberg, Rodinghausen, Kaiserslautern, and Holstein Kiel in Germany, as well as Roda JC Kerkrade in the Netherlands. He spent the previous season with VfL Osnabrück in the German 3. Liga.
Simakala was also capped by the Germany U18 national team in 2014.
So far, Araz-Nakhchivan has extended contracts with head coach Elmar Bakhshiyev and players Issouf Paro, Omar Buludov, Cristian Avram, Tarlan Ahmadli, Urfan Abbasov, Slavik Alkhasov, Gara Garayev, Bakhtiyar Hasanalzade, Ulvi Isgandarov, Wanderson Melo, Ramon Machado, and Nuno Rodrigues. The club also added Bar Cohen to its ranks and parted ways with Vadim Abdullayev.
