Brazilian midfielder Christian da Silva, who was released by Turan Tovuz, expressed his disappointment in a statement to Futbolinfo.az, Idman.biz reports.
The 35-year-old footballer said he was caught off guard by the decision:
“God sees everything. I will join a new club soon. I had a good season with Tovuz. I played in every match. I still don’t understand why I was let go. A new door will open for me.”
Da Silva also noted that he has not received any offers from other clubs in Azerbaijan.
The Brazilian midfielder made 27 appearances and scored 3 goals for Turan Tovuz. Prior to that, he played for another Misli Premier League team, Sabah FC.
