Araz-Nakhchivan have made their first move in the summer transfer window.
The club has signed Israeli midfielder Bar Cohen on a one-year deal. The 24-year-old playmaker will wear the red-and-white jersey in the 2025/2026 season, Idman.biz reports.
Cohen, who has played exclusively for Israeli clubs until now, will be experiencing his first stint abroad. He previously featured for Maccabi Tel Aviv, Beitar Tel Aviv, Hapoel Haifa, and spent the last two seasons with Maccabi Netanya. He also represented Israel at the U17, U18, U19, and U21 national levels.
Notably, prior to this signing, Araz-Nakhchivan extended contracts with several key players, including Issouf Paro, Omar Buludov, Cristian Avram, Tarlan Ahmadli, Urfan Abbasov, Slavik Alkhasov, Gara Garayev, Bakhtiyar Hasanalizada, Ulvi Isgandarov, Vanderson Melo, Ramon Machado, and Nuno Rodrigues. Head coach Elmar Bakhshiyev also renewed his contract, while the club parted ways with Vadim Abdullayev.
