Zamiq Aliyev, the Azerbaijani national team defender currently playing for Albanian club Egnatia, could be on the move this summer. The 24-year-old center-back has confirmed to Idman.biz that he's considering his options ahead of the upcoming transfer window.
Aliyev revealed that several top European clubs have expressed interest in his services, including teams from Italy and Portugal. "I have offers from high-level clubs in Russia, Ukraine, Cyprus, Belgium, Portugal, and Italy. Negotiations are ongoing with several teams," the defender stated.
The Azerbaijan international plans to make a decision about his future after the national team's upcoming match against Hungary. "After the Hungary game, I'll discuss with my manager and try to make the best decision for my career," Aliyev explained.
Since joining Egnatia, Aliyev has enjoyed tremendous success in his debut season, helping the Albanian side win both the domestic championship and the Albanian Supercup. His current contract with Egnatia runs until June 30, 2027.
The interest from Top-5 European leagues highlights Aliyev's impressive development and growing reputation as one of the region's most promising defensive talents.
