“We will do everything we can to win.”
These were the words of Aykhan Abbasov, head coach of Azerbaijan’s U21 national football team, in a statement to Idman.biz ahead of today’s friendly match against Belarus U21.
Abbasov shared his thoughts before the encounter, expressing confidence in his team:
“This is our final training camp, and it’s our third match. After these two friendlies, we’ll move on to official fixtures. We’re in a tough group and will be facing strong opponents, so these games are extremely important for us. I believe in my players. We’ll show determination and hunger, put on a solid performance, and do our best to win. I expect a good match and strong fight from the team.”
The match will take place at Baranovichi City Stadium, with kick-off set for 20:00 Baku time. As part of their preparations, the Azerbaijan U-21 team is also scheduled to face Montenegro U21 on June 8 at Mehdi Huseynzade Stadium in Sumgayit.
