Coached by Gurban Gurbanov, Qarabag are also the reigning champions of the tournament. They are aiming to defend the title for a second consecutive year and win the cup for the 9th time overall, extending their own record.
Sabah, on the other hand, will be experiencing the thrill of a cup final for the first time in club history. The Baku-based team is determined to claim its first-ever title. If they succeed, they will become the 10th club to win the Azerbaijan Cup.
Since the competition began in 1992, nine clubs have won the trophy:

Khazar Lankaran, Baku – 3 each
