Tensions escalated ahead of the UEFA Conference League final as fans of Real Betis and Chelsea clashed in the Polish city of Wrocław.
According to Idman.biz, violence broke out in one of the city’s central squares where supporters began hurling glasses, bottles, and even restaurant chairs at each other. The confrontation quickly turned into a full-blown physical fight.
Police intervened using pepper spray to disperse the crowd and restore order. Reports indicate that similar altercations have occurred in other parts of Wrocław as well.
The highly anticipated Betis vs Chelsea final is set to take place later today at Wrocław Stadium, with kickoff scheduled for 23:00 Baku time.
