A delegation from Neftchi Sports Club has traveled to Barcelona, Spain, at the official invitation of the Johan Cruyff Institute.
The club was represented by Faraj Aliyev, Advisor to the Chairman of the Board, and Emil Karimov, Head of the Department of International Relations and Communications, Idman.biz reports.
During the visit, Neftchi representatives took part in the “Cruyff Networking” event organized by the institute. They also held bilateral meetings with several key figures, including CEO Albert Romans, Executive Director of the Cruyff Football Platform and renowned expert Albert Capellas — who has worked with FC Barcelona and other top European clubs — as well as Mark Serra, one of the owners of CF Badalona SAD and a lecturer at the institute.
A Cooperation Memorandum was signed between Neftchi and the Johan Cruyff Institute as part of the visit. The agreement aims to strengthen international collaboration and open new opportunities in several key areas, including:
- Professional development of athletes, coaches, and administrative staff
- Experience-sharing in sports-related research
- Organization of joint sporting events, seminars, and conferences
- Implementation of collaborative initiatives in social and media spheres
