Azerbaijan national team footballer Mahir Emreli has attracted interest from yet another German club.
Idman.biz, citing German media, reports that the 28-year-old striker is now on the radar of Fortuna.
The Düsseldorf-based club wants to sign the forward, who will become a free agent this summer. Mahir’s potential transfer is reportedly being pursued by board member Klaus Allofs and sporting director Christian Weber.
With his contract at Nürnberg coming to an end, Mahir is also a target for St. Pauli and Kaiserslautern. Since the striker himself wishes to remain in Germany, Fortuna is looking to take advantage of this situation.
Fortuna finished the season in 6th place in the 2. Bundesliga.
