Hungary national team head coach Marco Rossi has commented on his squad selection and upcoming friendlies against Sweden and Azerbaijan.
Rossi explained that he has included several players in the squad who had been called up in the past but had not received recent invitations, Idman.biz reports.
“This time we’ve selected players who had previously been part of the squad but haven’t been called up lately. The reason is that we’re playing two friendly matches, and these players have recently performed well at their clubs. We want to assess them during training and the upcoming games,” said the Hungarian coach.
Rossi also shared his thoughts on both opponents:
“Sweden and Azerbaijan play with different styles. Sweden is a very strong team, and facing them will be challenging. Azerbaijan, while not as strong as Sweden, is a team that plays well at home. Our goal is to win both matches.”
The Azerbaijan vs. Hungary friendly is scheduled for June 10.
