“I hope that next season we can perform better in European competitions.”
Qarabag player Bahlul Mustafazada said this in a statement to Idman.biz.
Commenting on his team's 12th national championship title, the 28-year-old defender noted that the season stood out with some interesting moments:
“Unfortunately, we weren’t very successful in European competitions. But we won the league title and reached the final of the national cup. I believe this season was full of lessons. We’ll use the experience we gained this year to do better in European tournaments next season.”
Mustafazada also responded to rumors about a possible club transfer:
“This past season was memorable for both positive and negative reasons. Overall, it was a good year. As for continuing my career, for now, I’m still with Qarabag.”
The defender is under contract with the Aghdam-based club until June 2027.
