Second German coach in LaLiga history to win title

Hans-Dieter Flick has made history as only the second German manager to win the Spanish LaLiga title.

Flick’s Barcelona secured the championship in Matchday 36 after a 2-0 away victory over Espanyol, Idman.biz reports.

With this win, the Catalan side reached 85 points—an unassailable lead over arch-rivals Real Madrid.

Before Flick, the only other German coach to clinch the LaLiga title was Bernd Schuster, who led Real Madrid to gold in the 2007/08 season.
