Elvin Mammadov will continue as head coach of Sabail FC for the upcoming season, despite the club’s confirmed relegation from the Azerbaijan Premier League.
Idman.biz, via Futbolxeber.az, reports that the club has already begun preparations for the next campaign in the First Division. A crucial meeting is expected soon between the club’s management and main sponsor ASCO, where key questions regarding the team's budget and future ambitions will be addressed.
If ASCO allocates funding for the upcoming season, Sabail is expected to aim for the First Division title and an immediate return to the top flight.
Regardless of the sponsorship outcome, the board has reached a verbal agreement with Mammadov to continue leading the team. His contract is set to be formalized after the current season officially concludes.
