Ruslan Amirjanov, coach of the U19 team of Araz-Nakhchivan, recently visited the Real Madrid academy in Spain.
Idman.biz reports that the former Azerbaijani national team player shared his experience on social media, describing the trip as a tremendous learning opportunity:
“I observed training sessions of the U14 and U11 teams. I was impressed by the kids’ approach to training, their mindset, how quickly they make decisions, and above all, their level of professionalism despite their young age.”
Amirjanov emphasized that talented players also exist in Azerbaijani academies and stressed the importance of collective effort in order to improve local football:
“We all need to take our work seriously. If we’re truly committed, we can move our football forward. The key is genuinely wanting it.”
During his visit, Amirjanov also had the chance to meet Marcelo, a legendary player for both Brazil and Real Madrid.
