For the sixth time in European club competition history, two English clubs will face off in a final.
The UEFA Europa League title will be decided in a showdown between Manchester United and Tottenham, Idman.biz reports.
So far, English teams have clashed in five previous European finals. In 2008, Manchester United defeated Chelsea in the UEFA Champions League final. Eleven years later, Liverpool beat Tottenham in the 2019 Champions League final, and in 2021, Chelsea overcame Manchester City in Europe’s biggest club match.
Going further back, in 1972, Tottenham triumphed over Wolverhampton Wanderers in the inaugural UEFA Cup final. In 2019, Chelsea defeated Arsenal in the Europa League final.
