15-year-olds over 15 seasons: Amin Rzayev ranks third

Amin Rzayev of Qarabag has become the youngest player to appear in the Misli Premier League this season.

The defender made his debut late in Qarabag’s home match against Sumgayit (2-0) at just 15 years and 204 days old, Idman.biz reports.

Rzayev now holds the record for the youngest debutant over the past 12 seasons. He is the sixth player in the last 15 seasons to make his debut before turning 16. Since the 2010/11 season, only two players have debuted at a younger age. The all-time record belongs to Budag Nasirov, with Anar Hasanov in second place.
