Emin Mahmudov has reached a major milestone with Neftchi, scoring his 60th goal for the club.
The 33-year-old midfielder hit his jubilee goal during the Misli Premier League’s Matchday 33 clash against Kapaz, netting the equalizer in a 2–2 draw to save his team from defeat, Idman.biz reports.
Mahmudov reached the landmark in his 252nd appearance for the Baku side, with his goals spread across 44 in the Premier League, 7 in the Azerbaijan Cup, and 9 in European competitions.
He is now the 15th player in Neftchi’s history to score 60 or more goals, tying with club legend Kazbek Tuayev in the all-time scorers list.
For context, Neftchi’s all-time top scorer is Samir Alakbarov with 142 goals, followed by Anatoli Banishevski (136) and Yunis Huseynov (103).
