"I wouldn't say Neftchi is in a terrible position. The point gap with competitors isn't that big, and it's still early in the season. I believe Neftchi made the right move. Things will improve, and Neftchi has a good chance of at least qualifying for the Europa League," Sultanov said.
Samir Abasov replaced Ukrainian coach Roman Hryhorchuk in this position. However, Neftchi has not yet officially announced his appointment.
