Today, the 67th season of the Trendyol Super Lig will be started with the match between Galatasaray and Hatayspor.

Idman.biz reports that 77 teams have competed in the competition, which has been held since 1959 as the National League.

Only 3 of the 16 teams that played in the first championship - Galatasaray, Fenerbahce and Besiktas without exception and uninterruptedly fought among the strongest in all seasons.

Among the other 16 participants of the current championship, Trabzonspor is 51st, Samsunspor - 32nd, Goztepe - 31st, Antalyaspor - 29th, Konyaspor - 24th, Caykur Rizespor - 23rd, Adana Demirspor and Kasımpasa - 21st, Kayserispor - 20th, Sivasspor - 19th, Istanbul Basaksehir - 17th, Alanyaspor - 8th, Gaziantep - 6th, Hatayspor - 5th, Bodrum and Eyupspor enter their first season.

Galatasaray celebrated the most victories in the Turkish championship, which started with the championship of Fenerbahce - 24 times. Fenerbahce reached the top 19 times. The last champion is Galatasaray.

Among the participants of the championship, the clubs with the oldest history are Besiktas (1903), Galatasaray (1905) and Fenerbahçe (1907). The youngest are Istanbul Basaksehir (1990), Kayserispor (1988) and Gaziantep (1988).

The oldest team is Gaziantep (average - 26.73), Antalyaspor (25.80), Eyupspor (25.74), the youngest team is Adana Demirspor (23.06), Caykur Rizespor (23,33) and Kasımpaşa (23,39).

6 out of 19 clubs are coached by foreign coaches and 13 by local coaches. The oldest coaches are 61-year-old Jose Mourinho (Fenerbahce) and Abdulla Avci (Trabzonspor), and the youngest are 39-year-old Burak Yilmaz (Kayserispor) and Selcuk Inan. (Gaziantep).
