"Most of my professional path is related to the person next to me. "I was not very happy when he was elected the president of AFFA."
Idman.biz reports that these thoughts were expressed by Georgi Nikolov, the president of Inter (now Shamakhi).
The Bulgarian football functionary expressed his opinion on the resignation of AFFA's former president Rovnag Abdullayev. Nikolov shared his thoughts by sharing photos together: "Then I realized that I made a mistake in judgment... Rovnag Abdullayev's name is associated with a good period in the development of football in Azerbaijan. I will not be able to list all the successful decisions that I welcome from the heart. Nor will I remember the shortcomings of his administration, which I strongly criticized."
Nikolov believes that Abdullayev left a great mark after him: "No one is perfect. One fine day, we pass the "bread" to our successors. What matters is the footprint we leave. What Mr. Abdullayev passed on to his successor is noteworthy. I am glad to know him and help his mission in any way I can."
It should be noted that Rovnag Abdullayev, who run AFFA for 16 years, handed over his post at the Report-Election Conference held on April 2.
