The former Netherlands player has died aged 97
Former Netherlands player and manager Kees Rijvers has died.
Idman.biz reports that the football veteran died at the age of 97.
Rijvers, who scored 10 goals in 33 games for the Dutch national team in 1946-60, was the head coach of "Oranges" in 1981-84. In his coaching career, he managed PSV and Twente and Beringen in Belgium.
It should be noted that Rijvers was the national champion three times (1975, 1976, 1978), the cup winner (1976), and the owner of the UEFA cup (1977/78) in PSV.
