Former Bayern Munich midfielder Torsten Fink has shared his expectations ahead of the UEFA Champions League league-phase match between Azerbaijan's Sabah and Borussia Dortmund.
The German specialist, who currently manages Turkish Süper Lig club Samsunspor, believes the Bundesliga side will pose a major challenge for the Azerbaijani representatives.
"To be honest, I don't know much about Sabah. However, Borussia Dortmund are a very strong team and are currently in excellent form," Fink told AZERTAC.
The former German footballer also praised Dortmund head coach Niko Kovač, highlighting the team's attacking potential, tactical versatility and physical condition.
"They have strong forwards and midfielders. The club have brought in some very good players. Their head coach uses different tactical approaches when building attacks, and the team press very effectively. I think Borussia Dortmund are also in excellent physical condition. In my opinion, it will be difficult for the Azerbaijani side to win," he explained.
Fink, who enjoyed a successful playing career with Bayern Munich, won five Bundesliga titles and the UEFA Champions League with the German giants.
His assessment comes ahead of an important European test for Sabah, who will be looking to challenge one of Germany's most established clubs in front of their home supporters.
The Champions League encounter between Sabah and Borussia Dortmund will take place at the Baku Olympic Stadium on October 20, with kick-off scheduled for 20:45 local time.
