FIFA President Gianni Infantino has arrived in Azerbaijan on an official visit.
As reported by İdman.Biz, citing the Association of Football Federations of Azerbaijan (AFFA), Infantino and AFFA President Rovshan Najaf visited the football complex currently under construction in Baku's Hovsan settlement.
The facility will host matches of the FIFA U-15 World Cup and Festival.
During the visit, the FIFA President was briefed on the progress of construction work at the complex, which includes 10 football pitches, as well as preparations for the upcoming tournament.
The FIFA U-15 World Cup and Festival will be staged for the first time in history, with Azerbaijan hosting the inaugural edition.
Earlier on September 29, Infantino was received by President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev. During the meeting, preparations for the FIFA U-15 World Cup and Festival and the 2027 FIFA U-20 World Cup, as well as cooperation between Azerbaijan and FIFA, were discussed.
