Brazilian club Botafogo have renewed their interest in Qarabağ midfielder Pedro Bicalho.
İdman.Biz reports, citing Globo’s GE portal, that the Rio de Janeiro side have offered Qarabağ $1.5 million for the 25-year-old’s transfer. However, the Aghdam club have rejected the offer.
According to the report, Qarabağ also turned down a $2.5 million offer from Russian club Rubin Kazan for Bicalho during the previous transfer window.
Botafogo had previously made two offers for the Brazilian midfielder, with both proposals involving a loan deal with an option to buy. The Azerbaijani club, however, wanted a permanent transfer with the payment made immediately.
Bicalho joined Qarabağ in the summer of 2025. He previously played for Palmeiras, Santa Clara and Alverca.
The 25-year-old midfielder captained Palmeiras’ U20 side in 2022 and helped the team win the São Paulo Youth Cup that year.
