AFFA to provide clubs with cameras to track player development

The Association of Football Federations of Azerbaijan will supply clubs with cameras to help monitor and analyse player performance as part of a new development initiative.

According to İdman.Biz citing Report, AFFA secretary general’s advisor Elchin Mammadov confirmed the plans during a press conference following the signing of an agreement with Eyeball.

“Clubs compete in leagues organised by AFFA. Cameras will be purchased and distributed to clubs for analysis purposes. This will allow them to monitor their players more effectively. The technology will mainly be used in U-15, U-16 and the Top Girls League,” he said.

Mammadov added that the agreement with Eyeball has been signed for two years, following negotiations with several companies in recent months. The initiative is aimed at improving visibility for young talents and creating opportunities for Azerbaijani players to be noticed by European clubs.

Under the agreement, Eyeball’s camera and analytics platform will be implemented across youth competitions held under AFFA’s umbrella, marking another step in modernising the country’s football infrastructure and development system.
